Description

HCCC is offering a 2-hour Safe Space Training for individuals interested in learning more about how to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for LGBTQ individuals.


This program is open to all staff and students and will be free of charge. All individuals who complete the full 2-hour training will earn a certificate and sticker.

This program is especially beneficial for individuals working or planning on working in education, social work, medical, and business fields and is a great professional development opportunity.

Lunch will be served.


Learning Outcomes:

  1. Gain awareness of the different issues that LGBTQ individuals face.

  2. Explain the difference between sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

  3. Define the terminology used to describe sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

  4. Identify ways to create an inclusive space for LGBTQ individuals.
